Zedus Lapedus!

Been chilling out, maxin', relaxin' all cool, not shooting much b-ball outside of the school, but rather drawing and watching Will make music. Treal, not Will Smith. Though it is interesting that yesterday's musical project consisted of remixing "Supernova Girl" from Zenon Girl of the 21st Century, and we all know how much Will Smith loves to make songs about movies... INTERPLANETARY MEGA STELLAR HYDROSTATIC, THERE'S NO GRAVITY BETWEEN US--OUR LOVE IS AUTOMATIC! Zoom zoom zoom, make my heart go boom boom.

That's been stuck in my head for...almost 48 hours now.

Anyway I've been marinating some chicken breasts in my best version of the marinade from work since yesterday afternoon, tonight's dinner shall be some Ill Pete's chicken fajita quesadillazzz. I finally get away from Tex-Mex food, and now that's all I want to make. Naturally.

Tomorrow Will's playing an OddCake party, and it's gonna be awesome. Also it's supposed to be a lot cooler (87 degrees! It's like winter!), which is just icing on the cake. The OddCake.

IIIIIIN WEST PHILADELPHIA

Born and raised, on a playground is where I spent most of my days.

I made it! My flight left Denver yesterday at 10:30am and I ended up arriving in Philly at 4:05 (five minutes ahead of schedule). I took a train from the airport to 30th St station, where I met up with Will and headed to to the Wall Cat-- his and Katie's casa, named for an incident where there were...cats...in the walls. His friends came over and we barbequed and relaxed. Talked music. Soaked up the sticky heat. Like G's. One of Will's roommates is out of town, so instead of a couch, I get a bedroom! With a bed! Thanks, Hotels.com. Best deal ever.

Slept in until noon today, played the greatest Playstation game ever, Little Big Planet. Leftover wings for breakfast at two. Then we walked ALL the way to Center City to hand out flyers for Will's show on Thursday. It was the longest walk ever (well two and a half hours ish) on the hottest day ever, but it was bearable firstly because every so often we'd walk into a wind tunnel. Secondly, many businesses can afford to crank the AC with the windows and doors open, as to make the sidewalk a cooler place for pedestrians. Thirdly. Water ice. Or "wooder" ice, if you're from Jersey. It's Italian ice made with real fruit, and it's served out of a truck! Philly rocks! Epic walk time preceded Epic Meal Time at Le Mur de Chat, and now I'm here writing. Huzzah!

We're gonna public transport our way to Montreal this weekend I believe. Until then, I'm going to stalk ?uestlove since he's apparently in the city, all the time. I will find him.

TOMORROW (technically)

Preparatory measures for the trip have been going incredibly smoothly so far, and yet I'm so anxious I want to puke. This is highly unusual for me.

People are setting off mortars in the parking lot.

Packing is about done.

Sky's out and about.

I'm covered in paint.

32 hours until departure.

No sleep in the foreseeable future.

Billy in the a.m.!

Two days!

Two days from now I'll be headed to Philadelphia! From there it's off to Montréal, and from there, it's to wherever sounds like a good idea until I'm homebound from Newark on August 8th.

I intend on posting entries here like I did last time to keep my family and friends enlightened regarding my adventures, mostly so you all know I'm alive. I mean, I'd call you all regularly and everything, but as much as AT&T would like to accept my payment for international roaming, I'm afraid I can't afford that. Also I'm probably going to be really busy. And I'll develop this absurd accent that you won't be able to stand, and you won't want to talk to me anyway. HOWEVER. If you think you can handle the accent, I'll be available via Skype and FaceTime given I've got a decent wi-fi connection. Let me know if you need my info and I'll send it to youuuuu.

Tomorrow will be spent making most of my pre-departure preparations (hittin' the bank, finishing laundry, packing, etc..) and saying my goodbyes to everyone I didn't see today. I'm spending Saturday with Billy, because he returns from Hawaii that morning, and it's the only time I'll get to see him before I leave. ;_;

I would include 'soaking up the dry Denver air' in my to-do list, but it's been quite hot and monsoon-ing like a mofo the past few days, so the humidity is abnormally high. I'm sticky and gross. Our room might be flooding. This'll be good preparation for the journey I bet. Eeep!

I depart on July 10th for Philadelphia, at which point I will be returning to this blorg and blagging it up. Be ready.
