Hey FYI, you can enlarge the photos by clicking on them. Clever, I know.

This morning I woke up to church bells and it made me miss the stupid DU bells that would wreck our lives every morning. It made me miss it a lot. Sigh.

Here's Gowan, he likes to sleep on Elfi's sewing stuff.

Here's the Laurier métro station, through which I travel daily.

I took my camera to the Vieux Port (er, Old Port) yesterday. It was the first time I'd been in that area. Probably didn't help that it was a Saturday, but the entire area was just teeming with tourists (I'd rather be a tourer, nrrrr). I saw: three weddings; a hippie street performer dancing on a bed of nails; some guys dressed in colonial outfits (I didn't get the camera in time for that one); aaaaaand cobblestone streets (haven't seen that anywhere else yet). Before I took these though, I met a New Yorker named Chris who's been working here for six months. We went to China Town for amazing $3 subs and canned Thai iced tea. The subs were on French bread (not a baguette really, but similar), with seasoned meat (I had chicken!) and onions and pickled carrots and cabbage I think. I don't know, but it was delicious, filling, and cheap. Score!

Here are some pictures, carefully note the architecture and how infinitely cooler it is than that of Denver:

I came home to find the neighbor's cat at my window.
It totally looks like Hitler.

Yeah. Anyway, after that little photo excursion I went home. Chris said that a band from his hometown (Phantogram) was going to be playing at the Casa del Popolo (which happens to be right by the Casa del Hannah). The venue/bar itself was absolutely overrun with hipsters. If I had a dollar for every pair of fake thick-rimmed glasses, I could have bought out the venue. But the band was good. Like, definitely the best show I've seen since I've been here. I took some video, but it doesn't do them justice at all. Expect a write-up about them on Prosperity and Beauty soon. So goooooood.

Bagelzzz & Tam Tam today. Raaage!
